Hi, my name is Olivia and I have been in private practice as a qualified Clinical Psychologist for 6 years.
I am passionate about supporting women and girls who experience, anxiety, depression, health concerns and conditions with grief and loss. Since the beginning of covid, I have noticed a significant increase in presentations of burn out, adrenal fatigue and personal and workplace discontent. More than ever, I see women reach out trying to put together the pieces of their own health and wellness puzzle - not an easy task but one worth our time and much needed.
The common approach that I integrate into my sessions is within the Mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapies (MBCT). I am currently in the process of undertaking comprehensive EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy) training so that I am able to offer more to my clients, especially those that have experienced trauma.
I believe in a wholistic approach to women’s health and well-being and have a strong network of health professionals I can refer my clients to alongside or adjunct to my sessions. This is so we are able to work towards the most effective evidence based and wholistic treatment.
I have my own journey with depression, anxiety, grief, loss and health and wellness struggles; so as I say to my clients, I am walking alongside you - with some extra tools and skills to help guide you. I look to my clients for their expert knowledge and innate wisdom. I am always honoured to be a part of the journey.
